Reports Overview
Before you use the functions on the Reports menu, set up your items, codes, and IDs using the functions on the Setup and Maintenance menu; verify your items, codes, and IDs using the functions on the Master Lists and Interactive View menus; and enter, verify, and post your transactions. Use the Reports functions for these purposes:
- View the beginning and ending balances of items and verify the difference between these two balances by viewing the transaction activity in a summary history period.
- Verify the status of items and view the on-hand, on-order, committed, in-use, and available quantities.
- Analyze your pricing structures.
- Evaluate the profitability of inventory items.
- Analyze the cost variance of items.
- View current or historical transaction information for serialized items.
- View current or historical transaction, material requisition, and transfer information for lotted items.
- View the history of transactions by item and location.
