Transfer

If stock is available in another location, the Transfer dialog box allows you to initiate a location transfer rather than a purchase order.

1. Select the transfer Batch Code into which to put the transfer.
2. Enter Comments about the transfer if desired.
3. The Location ID, Available, and On Order values are displayed for each location in which the item is set up. Expand the location ID from which you want to transfer the item’s quantity by clicking the plus (+). Note: Quantity available = quantity on hand - quantity committed - quantity on hold (The Quantity On Hold field may be available through the Column Chooser.)
4. Enter the Transfer Quantity, Transfer Unit, and Transfer Cost in the location record from which you want to transfer items, Lot Number as required, and/or Serial Number as required.
5. Click OK to process the transfer and generate a location transfer transaction.
6. The Transfer log will appear.
