Traverse Global v11.2 - Service Repair
Returned Items
Use the Returned Items function to determine whether a returned item should be returned to stock, be repackaged, repaired, or other. You can update the item status, reason code, quantity to be returned, lot number, serial number, bin number, and container number.
This feature is only available if the Return Items Direct to Stock Business Rule is set to 'No'. Items will appear in this function when you add an RMA order and fill in an amount in the Returned field on the Line Items area of the RMA screen. Recording the return in the Warehouse Management, Receive Goods function will also add the item to this screen.
- Select the line item containing the returned items you want to process or update.
- Edit, if applicable, the status of the returned item to 'New' or 'Approved' in the Status field.
- Edit, if applicable, the reason code for the returned item in the Reason Code field.
- Edit, if applicable, the lot number in the Lot No field.
- Edit, if applicable, the serial number in Serial Number field.
- Edit, if applicable, the bin number in the Bin field.
- Edit, if applicable, the container number in the Container field.
- Edit, if applicable, the returned quantity in the Returned Qty field.
Note:'Approved' items can be posted and removed from the system without returning any quantities to stock. Any currency exchange required by the approval and posting of returned items will be done using “current” exchange rates at the time the entry is “approved”. The exchange rates of the original RMA/Credit Memo will not be associated with the returned items. The Exchange Rates should be loaded and/or reloaded any time the status of the returned item detail is changed to an "approved" status. Editing of the exchange rates is provided via the toolbar button, but may be limited to entries with an 'approved' status. - Save your changes. Close the screen to exit the function.
