Inventory Counts

Use the Inventory Counts function to record counted quantities by item ID, bin, and container (as applicable). The current On Hand Quantity is displayed.

The Inventory Counts function can be used to do a “spot” count on an item in your warehouse without going through the physical inventory Freeze Quantities process. When you enter a counted quantity, an inventory adjustment is made to the on-hand quantity. This adjustment can be seen in the WM Adjustments Journal.

To adjust the inventory count for an item:

  1. Scan or enter the Item ID you are counting.
  2. Scan or enter the Container in which you are updating inventory counts, as applicable.
  3. Scan or enter the Lot Number of the item you are counting, as applicable.
  4. Scan or enter the Bin Number in which you are updating inventory counts.
  5. Scan or enter the Serial Number of the item you are counting, as applicable. Serialized items will require a separate entry for each serial number with a Counted Qty of one.
  6. Enter the actual quantity counted in the Qty Counted field. When the Inventory Counts function is executed, the quantity will be adjusted to match this counted quantity if needed.
  7. The Qty On Hand displays. Use this quantity as a reference to verify the counted quantity if adjustments are needed.
  8. The Unit of measure is displayed.
  9. Repeat these steps for each counted item.

Use the Clear button to clear all fields. When finished, use the Menu button to return to the Physical Inventory menu.
