Pricing Overview
Price calculations are determined by these factors:
- Interfaces
- Serialized pricing
- Price breaks and penalties
- Customer level, price structure, and price ID
- Customer level pricing for an item location
- Promotional pricing
- Quantity Price Breaks and Penalties
If you interface Sales Order with Inventory, set up price breaks for the unit of measure and item quantity in the Inventory Items function.
Customer Levels
Use the Customer Levels function to define levels of customers.
Price Structures
Set up price IDs in the Price Structures function to store customer level pricing, adjustment base, and adjustment amount information. Price IDs are assigned to items in the Inventory Items function, the Recurring Entries function, and the Transactions function.
Customer Pricing
If you interface Sales Order with Inventory, use the Customer Pricing function to enter price adjustments, select customer levels, and determine whether to apply promotional pricing to items by item location.
Promotional Pricing
Set up promotional pricing for price IDs, customer levels, item IDs, location IDs, unit of measures, and product lines in the Promotional Pricing function.
